Miles Apart Tutorial

Click on image to see larger version
You will need:

A tube - I used one of CEI Stickers tubes.
You need to be a registered member of MPT to
purchase the tubes, but any tube will do.
Template 34 from ScrapityScrapsandMore
I used a scrap kit called 'Golden Cream' from SimplySensational Scraps
My Wordart you find in my supplies
Plugin Filters - Optional:
FM Tile Tools-Blend Emboss
Eyecandy 4000-Gradient Glow
Tramages-Toe The Line

I use FM Tile Tool-Blend Emboss to give a bit more depth to the images.
That choice is up to you.

Open up Template 34 - Shift D to copy it. Delete the original Template.
Make bottom layer active - Go to Image-Canvas size with these settings

We will resize at the end

Make the Circle layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - copy & paste one of the Papers
from scrap kit, line the Paper up with the marching ants - Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Selections-None. Delete the original Circle Layer.

Make Copy of Vector 1 layer active - Select All- Float-Modify-Expand 5. New Raster layer,
Flood Fill with a contrasting colour from your tube. Selections-None. Delete original layer.
Give this drop shadow

Make Raster 2 (rectangle) layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat, paste your Paper from before.
Selections-Invert, hit delete.Selections-None. Delete original Rectangle layer

Make Copy of Vector 1 layer active - Select All-Float- Modify-Expand 5 - new Raster layer, Flood Fill with your
contrasting colour. Selections-None. Give drop shadow.Delete original layer

Make Raster 3 layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - new Raster layer, Flood Fill with your contrasting colour,
Plugin Filter-Tramages-Toe The Line-default settings. Selections-None.
Make Copy of Vector 1 layer active-Select All-Float-Defloat - new Raster layer, flood fill
with your colour. Selections-None. Drop shadow. Delete original layer

Make Raster 4 (Heart) layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - paste your Paper as a new layer,
Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None.Delete the original heart layer

Make Copy of Vector 1 layer active - Select All-Float-Modify-Expand 5, new Raster layer, Flood Fill
with your colour. Selections-None. Drop shadow
This is what your Template would look like now. Mind you, you may have used different colours,
but this gives you an example what it will look like

Copy & paste one of the EmbroideredSachets from the scrap kit (one that will match your tube). Resize
35% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Adjust-Sharpen-FM Tile Tool Filter-Blend Emboss with defalt settings.
Drop shadow. Place the Embroidered Sachel on the Heart (see mine for example).

Copy & paste my WordArt as a new layer - you can re-colour it. Placce it under the Embroidered Sachel.
Copy & paste one of the FlowerBorder Elements as a new layer. Resize 50% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Move it to the right of the Rectangle - Duplicate - Mirror, moving so it covers the corners. Merge Down,
duplicate - Flip. Merge Down.Adjust-Sharpen - FM Tile Tool Filter-Blend Emboss- default settings. Drop shadow.
Now the tricky bit - move the FlowerBorder down a few layers - under the Heart layer.
I also added one of the Doodle Elements but that is your choice.

Make very top layer active - copy & paste your tube as a new layer, placing it where you like. Give
your tube the same drop shadow.

Merge Visible all layers - resize image 85% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Duplicate - on original image layer,
go to Adjust-Blur-Gaussian Blur 35. Go to Effects-Texture Effects-Straw Wall with these settings

Add your name & correct copyright. Crop Tool - crop excess background. Save as a *Png

Kate, Thank you so much. I will treasure this tag. Your Tut's are like none other that I have done. They are so imaginative and creative and most importantly easy to work with, very clear and precise. Thanks again Joan
