Candy Girl Tutorial

Click on image to see larger version

I created this tut in PSPX4 (14) but it can be done
with any version of PSP.  Not much to in
this tutorial but your imagination. You will need some knowledge
of PSP to do this tutorial. The scrap kit we will be using is full sized,
so we will be resizing the elements a fair bit.

You will need:
A tube plus a close up tube - I used one of ©Marlon Teuissen tubes.
You need to be a registered member of Creative Design Outlet-CDO
to purchase the tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrapkit called 'Apple'n'Grape' from ScrapityScraps&More
Mask #431 fron VixPSP
3rd mask down
Font I used is called 'Callie Hand' from Dafont.com

Open up the tube you will be using, as well as the mask, minimise the mask
New white canvas 750x700

Select All - new Raster Layer.  Copy & paste a paper from scrapkit into Selection - Selections-None.
New Mask Layer-From Image with these settings

Merge Group - resize 90% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Copy & paste element 42 from scrap kit as a new layer - resize 70% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Image-Flip, move over to the left side of the mask layer. Duplicate-Image-Mirror. Merge Down. Adjust-
Sharpen. Move down slightly. Add this drop shadow

Copy & paste element 51 (frame) from scrapkit as a new layer - resize 75% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Move across to the left slightly. Magic Wand, click inside frame - Selections-Modify-Expand 3.
Copy & paste another paper from scrapkit as a new layer - Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None.
Move the paper layer below the frame layer

Make top layer active, copy & paste your close up tube as a new layer. Position the tube inside the frame.
Now make the frame layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - make tube layer active - Selections-Invert.
Eraser Tool, erase parts of the tube around bottom of the frame. Have the tube look like it is sitting inside the frame
(see mine for example)

Copy & paste element 52 from scrapkit as a new layer (3 frames) Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Image-Free Rotation-Rotate 35 right. Move to the right side of the big frame.
Magic Wand, click inside all 3 frames - copy & paste a paper from scrapkit as a new layer - Selections-Invert,
hit delete. Selections-None. Move the paper layer below the 3 frames.

Magic Wand once more, click inside the top frame - copy & paste the tube as a new layer - position the tube so it
show part of the tube inside the selected frame - Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Move the tube layer

below the frames layer.
Do the same with the other 2 frames with different parts of the tube. When finished, give the 3 frames the drop shadow.
Cross out the eyes on all layer except the 3 small tube layers & the 3 frames layer - Merge Visible. Open up the eyes
again on all the other layers.

Copy & paste element 26 from scrapkit as a new layer - resize 70% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move down under

the 3 frames merged image - Image Free Rotate-Rotate 35 left. Position the grape vine like mine. Adjust-Sharpen.

Position over the Tab layer - Merge Down. Add drop shadow.

Add your name to the Tab. The add the correct copyright.
When you hasve done that, cross out the eyes on bottom layer (white), Merge Visible all other layers.
Resize you merged layer 90% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Duplicate, make original merged layer active.
