In My Garden Tutorial



You will need:

A tube - I used one of Caron Vinson's tubes.
You will need to be a registered member of CILM
to buy her tubes. Any tube will do for this tut.
Scrap kit called "My Garden" from ChicasDesigns
My Garden


New white canvas 700x700

Copy & paste one of the round Frames from the scrapkit.
Resize it 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Magic Wand - click inside of the Frame - Selections-Modify-Expand 5
Copy & paste one of the papers from the kit - you may need to resize the paper,
55% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Move the paper below the Frame layer. Selections-None.
Paper layer still active go to Effects-Illumination Effects-Sunburst with these settings



Make Frame layer active - Magic Wand - click in side Frame - Selections-Modify-Expand 5.
Copy & paste Picket Fence from scrapkit as a new layer - resize 40% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Move the Picket Fence down.


Selections-Invert, hit delete. Move the Picket Fence below Frame layer.
Give the Fence & the frame this drop shadow



Copy & paste one of the Flower Branch from scarpkit as a new layer - resize 55% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Move the Flower Branch to the side of the Frame. Duplicate the Flower Branch-Image-Mirror & move the duplicated
image across & on top of other Flower Branch. Eraser Tool - carefully erase the bottom part of the duplicated
Flower Branch.
Copy & paste one of the Flowers as a new layer - resize 45% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move the Flower to just
below the 1st Flower Branch. Duplicate-Mirror & bring across & place up top of the 2nd Flower Branch - resize 80% Bicubic
all layers unchecked. You may need the go to Adjust-Sharpen both flowers. Merge Down & give the same drop shadow as before

Cross out the eyes on bottom layer (white), Frame & paper layers, Merge Visible all other layers. Duplicate the Merged layers-
Mirror. Your image should look like this



Copy & paste one of the Lilies as a new layer - resize 40% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move to the right a bit. Duplicate,
resize 80 % Bicybic - mirror - move to just under the 1st lily.

Copy & paste Leaves-1 as a new layer - resize 55% Bicubic - duplicate-mirror & move so the stems are touching each other. Duplicate once
more - Image-Flip - move to bottom centre of Frame. Merge Down - give drop shadow as before.
Copy & paste one of the Butterflies as a new layer - resize 80% Bicubic - move to right side of Flowers. Go to Image-Free Rotate- Rotate
30 left - Adjust-Sharpen More. Drop shadow.

Finally, copy & paste your tube as a new layer - give drop shadow. Add your name & correct copyright.
Crop Tool - crop to remove excess
white background. You may have to resize - I resized mine 84% Bicubic-all layers checked.
Save as a *Png
