Blossom Fae Tutorial

You will need:

Tube - I used one of Caron Vinson's fairies. You need to be a registered
member of CILM to purchase her tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'In Spring' from Cadi's Fun Scraps

My template 'Circle-Lines'

Font I used is called 'Mistral. The font came with my PSPX1.


Open up my template 'Circle-Lines' click Shift D to copy it. Delete the original template.
Make white background active - go to Image-Canvas Size with these settings



Delete the top layer - my TOU.
Make the Circle-line layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat. Copy & paste a Paper from one
of the scrap kit folders as a new layer. Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Selections-None.
Give this drop shadow




Delete the original Circle-Line layer. Copy & paste Clematis-2 from the scrapkit as a new
layer - resize 35% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.  Duplicate-Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked, move down a little. Merge Down. Duplicate - Image-Mirror
Copy & one of the fences from the same scrap kit set as a new layer. Resize75% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move down below the template layer
Give drop shadow.

Copy & paste one of the Ribbons from the scrapkit as a new layer. Resize75% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Image-Mirror, move down the inside right side of the template Circle.

Make coloured template layer active - Magic Wand, click inside centre circle - Selections-Modify-Expand 11.
Copy & paste your tube as a new layer. Move your tube so it is centre of circle - Selections-Invert, hit delete. Give
your tube the same drop shadow as before. Selections-None. Move the tube layer below the template layer.

Make top layer active - paste your tube once more & place where it will look nice. Give drop shadow.

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers. Resize 85% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Duplicate
& on the original merged image layer - go to Adjust-Blur-Gaussian Blur 25. Go to Effects-Texture Effects-Textures & chose a nice
texture for this layer.

Resize texture effect layer 90% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Make top layer active - Merge Down.
Add your name & correct copyright. Open eyes on bottom layer. Crop Tool - crop excess white background. Make top layer active.
On blue bar at the top of your image, click Copy & paste your image as a New Layer on your workspace. It should now have a
transparent background. You may want to resize again. I resized mine 93% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Save as a *Png
