Tortured Heart Tutorial

You will need:

Tube - I used one of Keith Garvey's ladies. You need to
be a registered member of MPT to purchase his tubes, but
any tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'Tortured Heart' from FantasyMoments Scraps
Font I used is called 'Galvanized BRK'. I have it in my supplies
Mask 125 from WeeScotLass..aka..Chelle

New white canvas 700x700

a new layer. Resize 85% Bicubic-alllayers unchecked.
Magic Wand, click inside of the frame - Selections-Modify-Expand 8.
Copy & paste a paper from the scrap kit as a new layer. I resized my paper
by 65% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-
None. Move the paper layer below frame layer. Make frame layer active - give this drop shadow

Copy & paste one of the Ribbons 34-38 from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 50%
Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move the ribbon down slightly, just above the flowers on the frame.
Give drop shadow as before.

Copy & paste one of the heart elements 12 or 13 from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 40% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked. Adjust-Sharpen. Give drop shadow. Move the heart layer below the ribbon layer
See mine for example.

Make top layer active - copy & paste one of the flower elements 20-24 from scrap kit as a new layer.
Resize 45% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move across to right side of frame - duplicate, move down
slightly, duplicate once more, moving down slightly. You should have 3 layers of the flower. Go to Adjust-
Sharpen, each layer of the flower, then give each layer the drop shadow.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer. Move down below the ribbon layer. You may have to erase some of the
bottom of the tube so it looks as though it is within the frame. Give your tube drop shadow.

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers. Resize your merged layer 85% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked. Open eyes on bottom layer. Add your name & correct copyright.

Make bottom layer active - copy & paste another paper from scrap kit as a new layer. (Open up & minimise the
mask.) New mask Layer-From Image with these settings

Merge Group - Crop Tool, crop excess white background. I resized mine 90% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED.
Click on top Blue Bar - COPY & paste as a new image on your workspace. Your image should now have a
transparent background. Save as a *Png
