Mermaid Forum Set Tutorial








You will need:

Tube - I used one of Lori Karels tubes.
You must be a registered member of MyTagArt

to purchaseher artwork, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit I used is called 'Passionata' from FantasyMoments Scraps

Open up my templates. Click Shift D to copy - close off original templates.
Make bottom template layer active - click COPY & paste it as a new image on
your workspace.Minimize the templates for now.
Go to IMAGE-canvas size with these settings



Magic Wand, click on the template. You can either use a paper from screap kit or
you can Flood Fill with a gradient. (New Raster layer if you are going to Flood Fill)
Copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer - Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Effects-3D Effects-Inner Bevel with these settings



Magic Wand - click inside the template - Selections-Modify-Expand 4. Copy & paste another
paper from scrap kit as a new layer - Selections-Invert, hit delete. (If you are going to
flood fill you will need to add a new Raster layer first) Selections-None. Move paper layer
below template layer.
Add this drop shadow to the template



Copy & paste one of the Fan elements from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 50% Bicubic-all
layers unchecked. Give drop shadow. I erased the ribbons from the bottom of the fan.

Copy & paste another of the elements from the scrap kit as anew layer. I used the Flower Dangles.
Move to one side of the template.Resized 45% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Adjust-Sharpen More -
add drop shadow Duplicate-Image-Mirror.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - resize if needed. Move to one side of template. Freehand
Selection Tool, draw around bottom of tube that is protruding below the template, delete. Duplicate
the tube - Image-Mirror. Add drop shadow to both tube layers.
Now is the time to set the Fan in the centre between your tubes.

Add your name & correct copyright. Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) MERGE VISIBLE all other layers.
Crop Tool, crop excess white background.
Click COPY on top blue bar & paste as a new image on your workspace. Resize 75% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED.

To make the Avatar
 
Make the top layer active on the original template, copy & paste as a new image
on your workspace
Follow the instructions as above, but only paste your tube, don't duplicate it. Instead of adding your full name
just add your intial. Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED.

Save both as a *Png.
