Crumpled Spirit Tutorial





You will need:

A tube - I used one from James.C.Adams
HERE
You need to be a registered member of MyTagArt
HERE to purchase his artwork, but any
tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'Spirit' from FantasyMoments Scraps
HERE
Xenofex-2 Plugin Filter-Crumble.
Font I used is called LT Oksana from
HERE

New white canvas 700x700



Copy & paste one of the frames from scrap kit as a new layer. I used Frame
Element 65. Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Adjust-Sharpen.
Recolour to suit your tube.

Magic Wand - click inside the frame - Selections-Modify-Expand 10.
Copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer - Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Selections-None. Move paper layer below Frame layer.

Give the frame this drop shadow.



Copy & paste one of the Flower Elements from scrap kit as a new layer. I used Element 73.
Resize 40% Bicubic-all layers unchecked - Adjust-Sharpen. Re-colourize. Give drop shadow as before.
Move the New flower to the bottom right of the frame - Duplicate & move up & over slightly,
duplicate one more & move down & across slightly.



Copy & paste one of the Love Herat EWlements from scrap kit as a new layer. I used Element 45.
Resize 55% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Recolourize. Adjust-Sharpen. Move the heart over to the left
so that the ring sits just over the loop in the frame. Eraser Tool, erase part of the ring of the heart that
is sitting over the loop. Carefully erase the bottom part of the heart so it looks
like it is sitting behind the flowers. Give drop shadow as before.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - move where the tube will look nice - resize if needed. Give drop shadow.
Erase any of the tube that may be protruding over the frame bottom.

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) MERGE VISIBLE all other layers. Resize your merged image 85% Bicubic-all
layers unchecked. Open the eyes up on bottom layer.
Duplicate merged image & make the bottom merged image active. Go to Adjust-Blur-Gaussian Blur 30.

Xenofex-2 - Crumple-settings-Harsh Folds with these settings.



Resize this layer 110% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.

Make your top merged image active - Merge Down. You should now only have 2 layers in your layers palette.
Add your name & correct copyright.
Crop Tool - crop excess white background. Cross out eyes on bottom layer again - Merge Visible all other layers.
Copy & paste as a new image on your work space. You image should now have a transparent background.
Resize 90% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Save as a *Png
