Spring Is Coming Tutorial




You will need:

A tube - I used one of Caron Vinson's lovely fairies.
You need to be a registered member of Creative Design Outlet

to purchase her tubes, but any pretty tube will do.
Scrap kit is called 'Yeh-Spring Is Coming' from Bastelgalaxy Scraps

Font I used is called 'Acadian' from FontFreak
HERE


New white canvas 700x700



Copy & paste Frame 4 from scrap kit as a new layer.
Magic Wand - click inside the frame - Selections-Modify-Expand 6.
Copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer. Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Selections-None. Move the paper layer below the frame layer.
Make the frame layer active - give the frame this drop shadow



Copy & paste Doodle 2 from scrap kit as a new layer. Recolour it to suit your tube.
Duplicate the Doodle, Merge Down. Duplicate once more - Image-Flip.
Merge Down once more. Resize the merged Doodle 110% Bicubic-all layers uinchecked.
Move the merged Doodle up just a little.

Copy & paste one of the Ribbons - I used Ribbon 1, from scrap kit as a new layer.
Move the Ribbon down to bottom of the frame. Give drop shadow as before.

Copy & paste one of the Bows from scrap kit & paste as a new layer. I used Bow 8.
Move up to top of the frame. Give drop shadow.

Copy & paste Flower 12 from scrap kit as a new layer. Move across to the right of the frame.
Duplicate the flower - Image-Mirror.
Duplicate that Flower - Image-Free Rotate-Rotate left 20. Duplicate the flower - Image-Mirror.
You shoulkd have 4 layers of Flower 12. Cross out the all the eyes on layers below the flowers.
Merge Visible the flowers. Open up the eyes again on all other layers. Make the Merged Flowers layer
active-Adjust-Sharpen. Give drop shadow. Move Merged Flower layer below the ribbon layer

Copy & paste Flower 3 from scrap kit as a new layer. Move acros to the right so the flowers are sitting
in front of the Merged Flowers - duplicate-Image-Mirror. Give each new flower layer drop shadow.

Copy & paste one of the Butterflies from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Give drop shadowe. Move across so it is sitting on some flowers.
*Note - all the flowers so far should be below the ribbon layer*

Make top layer active - copy & paste Flower 4 from scrap kit as a new layer. Move across to the right of the
ribbon. Duplicate-Image-Mirroe. Give each flower 4 layer drop shadow.

Now it is time to copy & paste your tube. Makje your Frame layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat-Selections-
Invert - make your tube layer active & with your Eraser Tool, erase any of the tube that may be showing over
the ribbon & flowers. When you have done that - Selections-None. Give your tube the drop shadow.

Add your name & correct copyright. Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) MERGE VISIBLE all other layers.
Copy your merged image & paste as a NEW IMAGE on your work space. Your image should now have a transparent
back ground. Resize 85% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Save as a *Png
