Surfs Up Tutorial

I created this tut in PSPX1 (11) but it can be done
with any version of PSP. This is an easy tutorial
with not much to do, just take your time.
No outside filters used

You will need:

A beachy type of tube. I used one of Robert Freemans
lovely ladies. You need to be a registered member of CDO
to purchase his tubes, but any tube will do.
Template 'Surfs Up' from Erica of BrutalDesigns
Mask #34 also from Erica of BrutalDesigns
Scrap kit called 'Beach Mornings' from Artmama's Studio
Font I used is called 'Balkeno' from DaFont.com

Open up the mask, minimise it. Open up the 'Surfs Up' template.
Click Shift D to copy it. Delete original template.
Delete raster 1 (copyright & TOU). Make bottom layer active. Flood fill with white.
Go to Image-Canvas Size 800x800 - refill with white once more.

Delete these layers from template:- Beige Square Top, Green Square Middle, Blue Square Left

Have bottom layer active still - new raster layer, copy & paste a paper from scrap kit
as a new layer. New Mask Layer-From Image with these settings

Merge Group. Image-Flip. Move the mask up a little.

Make Green Circle layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat. copy & paste a paper from scrap kit
& paste as a new layer. You may need to resize the paper down a tad. I resized mine 70% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked.
Selections-Invert - hit delete. Selections-None. Give this drop shadow

Do the same with Yellow Circle layer with the same paper.

Make Orange Oval layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat, copy & paste another paper from scrap
kit as a new layer - resizing if needed. Selections-Invert - hit delete. Selections-None. Add
drop shadow.

Make Green Oval layer active, do the same as before with another paper from scrap kit, but don't
add drop shadow this time.

Move the Yellow Line down under the Ovals - you can add another paper to this or colourise it.

Make the 'Surfs Up' wordart layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - now you can flood fill this
with a colour from your tube or you can add a paper to it. I resized mine 120% Bicubic-all layers
unchecked. Add this drop shadow to the wordart

I added a Eyecandy-Gradient Glow to my wordart - that is up to you.
Move the wordart down under the line.

At this point you can add any of the elements from the scrap kit you like. I only used element 33.
I placed it to the right of the Ovals then duplicated it & them Image-Mirror it.
I then added element 49 & move it down under the wordart.

Now you can copy & paste your tube & place it where it will look nice. Add the original drop shadow.
Add your name & correct copyright.
When you have done all that, make bottom layer (white) active - Merge Visable all other layers. Click
COPY & paste as a New Image on your workspace. Resize to your liking - I resized mine 70% Bicubic-
all alyers CHECKED. Save as a *Png
