Blasted Grid Tutorial

At the time I created this tutorial, all tubes, scrapkits, etc were
in working links. Sorry if the links no longer work
With scrapkits, if the link or site is missing, choose a similar scrapkit

I created this tut in PSPX4 (14) but it can be done
with any version of PSP. You need to have a good understanding of
your PSP program to do this tutorial

You will need:
A sitting tube - I used one of ©Marika's lovely tubes.
You need to be a registered member of CDO
to purchase her tubes, but any sitting tube will do.
My 'Blasted Grid' template
Font I used is called ;Miss Claude' from Simply The Best Fonts
Plugin Filters:
Flaming Pear-SuperBladePro-optional
Xero-Porcelain-optional
dsb Flux-Blast
Penta.com-Dot & Cross

Open up my Blasted Grid template - click SHIFT D to copy it.
Close off original template. Delete my copyright layer (top)
Make the Frame layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat, Flood Fill with a
colour from your tube. You can add Flaming Pear-SBP filter effect if you like
or give it a nice Inner Bevel. Selections-None.

With your Magic Wand, click inside the small rectangle - Selections-Modify-
Expand 3. New Raster layer - Flood Fill with a gradient - Foreground, light colour
from your tube - Background a dark colour from your tube.

Keep selected - go to Effects-Texture Effects-Weave with these settings

Effects-Edge Effects-Enhance. Keep selected - copy & paste your tube as a new layer.
I increase the size of my tube to fill almost all the rectangle, you may have to do that also.
Position the tube central in the rectangle - Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Adjust-Hue & Saturation - both settings on 0.
Effects-Plugins-Penta.com-Dot & Cross with these settings

Reduce the Opacity to 70
Make C Squares layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - Flood Fill with
a colour from your tube - use your Flaming Pear-SBP effect again if you want,
or a nice Inner Bevel effect. Selections-None.

Make the Grid layer active - Select All-Floar-Defloat - Flood Fill with a colour from your tube.
Use the Flaming Pear-SBP effect once more or a nice Inner Bevel. Selections-None.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - Duplicate - Layers-Arrange-Send To Bottom.
Adjust-Blur-Gassian Blur 15 - dsb Flux-Blast with these settings

Repeat but Direction-right this time.
Effects-Texture Effects-Blinds with these settings

Now, back UP to your duplicateD tube layer, you can add a nice Xero-Porcelain effect if you like
Give the tube this drop shadow

Add the same drop shadow to the frame layer.
Add your name & correct copyright. When you have done that, cross out eyes on bottom
layer (white). Merge Visible all other layers. Click COPY & paste as a new image on your work space.
Your merged image should now have a transparent background. Resize as you like. I resized mine
76% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Save as a *Png image
