Autumn Leaves Tutorial




You will need:

Tube - I used one of Sally Gilroy's lovely ladies.

You need to
be a registered member of MyTagArt HERE
to purchase her tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'Early Autumn' from Sentimental Style
HERE
Font I used is called ' BluePlateSpecialSW' in my supplies
HERE
Mask 321 from weescotslasscreations.blogspot.com
HERE


New white canvas 650x650



Select All - new raster layer - copy & paste a paper from the scrap kit
Into Selection - Selections-None. Open up & minimize Mask 321.
New Mask Layer - From Image with these settings



Merge Group - resize 85% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move across to the right slightly,
duplicate - Image-Mirror-Flip. Have top layer of the Mask active - Merge Down.

Copy & paste DoubleChipboardFrame from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 85% Bicubic-all
layers unchecked.

Magic Wand, click inside both frames - Selections-Modify-Expand 9. Copy & paste another paper
from scrap kit as a new layer - Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Move the paper
layer below frame layer.

Copy & paste one of the leaves from the scrap kit as a new layer - move over to the right & down
a bit (This layer should be under the frame layer). Duplicate - Image-Mirror-Flip. Repeat this with
another leaf from the scrap kit. This is what yours should look like.



Copy & paste HangingBeads from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 55% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Adjust-Sharpen More. Duplicate - Image-Mirror. You should have the beads in both sides of the frame.
Move those layers below the frame layer. Give this drop shadow



Give the frame the same drop shadow. Copy & paste your tube as anew layer. Position your tube in the
centre of the frames. Give drop shadow.
Copy & paste the Ribbon from the scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Adjust-
Sharpen. Position the ribbon bottom of the frames & central. Copy & paste one of the Flowers from the
scrap kit as a new layer - resize 70% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Adjust-Sharpen More. Move the flower to
one end of the ribbon, give drop shadow. Duplicate - Image-Mirror.

Copy & paste Sticker 1 from scrap kit as a new layer, resize 70% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move to just down
of the ribbon. Copy & paste Sticker 2 from scrap kit as a new layer - resize as before & move under 1st Sticker.
See mine for example. When you have done that - Adjust-Sharpen More both Stickers.

Cross out the eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers. Open the eye on the bottom layer.
Have your merged image active - resize 85% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Add your name & correct copyright.
Crop Tool - crop excess white background. Have top layer active - Merge Down, so you have only the 2 layers,
white background & your merged image. Click on top Blue line - COPY & paste as NEW IMAGE on your workspace.
Your image should now have a transparent background. Save as a *Png
