Black & White Tutorial-Amended

You will need:

Tube - I used one of Keith Garvey's lovely ladies. You need to
be a registered member of MPT to purchase his tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'Black & White' from LacarolitaDesignz

Template 151 from DenzDesignz

Font I used is called 'Bernard MT'. This font came with my PSPX1.

No outside Plugin Filters used with this tutorial

Open up Template 151 - click SHIFT D to copy it. Delete the original template.
Make BG layer active (bottom layer) Flood Fill with white. Go to IMAGE-CANVAS SIZE
with these settings



That gives us plenty of room to work. We will resize at the end.
Delete the top layer (DenzDesignz).
Make Rectangle 1 layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat,copy & paste a paper from
scrap kit as a new layer. I resized the paper 65% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Selections-
INVERT, hit delete. Selections-NONE Give the new paper layer this drop shadow.


Delete original rectangle layer - do the same as above with the next rectangle layer.
Make Dotted Outline 2 layer active - MERGE DOWN to Dotted Outline 1 layer. Select All-
Float-Defloat, new Raster Layer - Flood Fill with white
Selections-NONE. Delete the original layer.

Copy & paste Black & White Buckle 1 from scrap kit as a new layer.
Resize 35% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
*Delete Black Bar 2 layer*
Move the Black & White Buckle 1 to just above the Pink Circle
Give drop shadow as before.

Make Pink/Black Dots layer 2 active - MERGE DOWN to Pink/Black Dots layer 1. Select All-
Float-Defloat, new Raster Layer - Air Brush Tool with these settings



colour Pink Dots with white & then the black Dots. Selections-NONE. Delete the original layer.
Delete original layer. Give the Dots layer the same drop shadow as before.

Make Pink Circle layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - copy & paste another paper from scrap
kit as a new layer - I resized this paper 65% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. SElections-INVERT, hit
delete. Delete original Pink Circle layer. Keep Selected. Copy & paste your tube as a new layer. Move
your tube so it is central to the Paper Circle (this layer should still be inverted), hit delete.
Selections-NONE. Give your Paper Circle & tube same drop shadow.

Make tube layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - make Black Bar 1 layer active
Eraser Tool, erase the Black Bar from the tube.
Selections-None


Make Pink Dots 1 layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat, new Raster Layer, flood fill the
dots with white. Selections-NONE. Delete original Pink Dots layer. I deleted the Pink Dots layer 2.

Copy & paste Black & White Beads from scrap kit as a new layer. Move to right side of the rectangles.
Resize 50% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Image-Free Rotate-Rotate 90 left

IMAGE-MIRROR your tube - copy & paste as a new layer. Move tube layer below flower layer. Give the tube
the drop shadow.
Copy & paste one of the Bows from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 30% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Give drop shadow. Move the bow over to the the left in front of tube.
See mine for example.

Add any other Element you like. Once you have done this, add your name & correct copyright. Cross out eyes
on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers. Resize your merged image 85% Bicubic-all layers
unchecked. Open up the eyes. Crop Tool, crop excess white background. Click on top Blue Bar, COPY & Paste
as a New Layer on your workspace. Save as a *Png
