Carefree Summer Tutorial

You will need:

Tube - I used one of Caron Vinson's cute fairies.
You need to be a registered member of CILM to purchase her
tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'Carefree Summer' from HoresPlay's Pasture
HERE
Mask 363 from VixPSP
HERE
Scroll down till you see Masks 346-365.
Font I used is called 'Walter'. I'm not sure where I got it from
so I can't supply it, sorry.


New white canvas 800x700



Copy & paste a paper from the scrap kit as a new layer. Open up the mask
& minimise it. New Mask-From Image with these settings



Merge Group. Copy & paste Frame 5 from scrap kit as a new layer. Duplicate,
IMAGE-resize 70% bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move across to the left of 1st
frame. Duplicate - IMAGE-MIRROR. Duplicate once more & move down between the other
2 duplicated frames. This is what it should look like



Cross out eyes on white background, mask layer & large frame layer - Merge Visible
all other layers. Open up the eyes again on the 3 other layers. You should now have 4
layers in your layer palette.



Magic Wand - Add-RGB Value-Tolerance 0-Feather 0 - click inside all 3 small frames.
Selections-Modify-Expand 5. Copy & paste another paper from scrap kit as a new layer.
(I used the same paper, but that is your choice. I just moved it up a bit)
Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Move this paper layer below small frames
layer.

Have top layer active. Copy & paste one of the Deco Flower elements from scrap kit as a new layer
Resize 55% bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move to one of the small frames. Copy & paste another Deco Flower
element & paste as a new layer, resizing it the same. )Remember to go to ADJUST-SHARPEN, each time
you resize an elememnt) Move 2nd flower to middle small frame.

Copy & paste Birdhouse from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 55% bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move it
across to the other outer small frame. Copy & paste Bird from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 35%
bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move Bird to sit on top of centre small frame. Add any other Element you
like, resizing to suit.



Copy & paste your tube as a new layer, moving it where it will look nice.
Give your tube this supple drop shadow



Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers. Resize your merged image 85%
bicubic-all layers unchecked. Add your name & correct copyright.Cross out eyes once more on bottom layer, Merge Visible
all other layers. Open the eyes up again. Crop Tool - crop excess white background. Click on top blue bar,
Paste as a NEW IMAGE on your workspace. Your image should now have a transparent background. I resized my
merged image 80% bicubic-all layers CHECKED.  Save as a *Png

Blasted Grid Tutorial
