Feeling Blue Tutorial




You will need:

Tube - I used one of Lorenzo Di Mauro's lovely ladies.
You need to be a registered member of Lorenzo Di Mauro

Scrap kit called 'Feeling Blue' from TopCat Tagz
HERE
Font I used is called ' Crushed Out Girl' in my supplies
HERE


**No outside filters used with this tutorial**

Open up Template #40 - click Shift D to copy it. Delete the original template.
Delete raster 5 layer (credits). Make bottom layer active (white) - Image-
Canvas Size 700x700



Flood Fill with white to fill in the void.
Make raster 2 layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat. Copy & paste a Paper from
the scrap kit as a new layer. I resized all my Papers 65% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
That is your choice. Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Delete original raster layer.

Do the same with each of the other layers of the Template, using different Papers each time.
When you have finished, give each new Paper layer this drop shadow



Have top layer of your new template active. Copy & paste Elements 28 from scrap kit as a new layer
Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move the ribbon frame over to the left of your template.
Magic Wand, click inside the ribbon frame like this



Copy & paste your tube as a new layer. Move the tube so that it is inside the Ribbon Frame. Selections-
Invert, hit delete. Give the new tube layer drop shadow as before.

Copy & paste Element 50 from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move this layer
below the Ribbon Frame layer. Adjust-Sharpen. Give drop shadow.

Copy & paste Element 32 from scrap kit as a new layer. Move over to the left side of your template. Move
this layer down below raster 3 paper layer. Duplicate - Image-Mirror. I resized this element 80% Bicubic-all
layers unchecked, then Adjust-Sharpen.

Copy & paste Element 45 from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Adjust-Sharpen More.
Move to bottom of the template - duplicate & resize duplicated layer 80% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move
that layer slightly to the right. Give each flower layer drop shadow.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer. Move tube layer below flower layers. Position your tube where it
will look nice.

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers. Resize your Merge Image 85% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked. Add your name & correct copyright. Merge this layer down. Duplicate your merged image & on
the original merged image layer - go to Adjust-Blur-Gaussian Blur 25.

Go to Effects-Texture Effects-Texture with these settings.


Redo that Effect once more to give it a deeper look.
Resize Blurred layer 90% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move your top layer down slightly. Merge Top layer Down.
Crop Tool - (have eyes open on bottom layer) crop excess white back ground.

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visable all other layers. Resize around 83% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED.
Cross out eyes once more on bottom layer (white) Copy your Merged Image & paste on your workspace. Your image should
now have a transparent background. Save as *Png.
