I Heart You Tutorial





You will need:

Tube - I used one of Jennifer Janesko's beautiful ladies.
You need to be a registered member of CILM to purchase her
tubes HERE
but any nice tube will do.

Scrap kit called 'I Heart You' from CupCakeSprinklesBy Caitlin

Template 6 from CupCakeSprinklesby Caitlin

Mask 196 from WeeScotLass Creations
HERE

Font I used is called 'Jane Print Hand' that I have in my supplies

Open up Template 6, click Shift D to copy it. Delete original template. Make bottom layer active,
new raster layer, flood fill with white. Move this layer to the bottom. Go to Image-Canvas Size
with these settings



Flood fill once more with the white. I know it's large, but we will resize at the end.
Delete the top 4 layers. Now, down to the Flower layer, make it active.
Select All-Float-Defloat - copy & paste a paper from the scrap kit as a new layer - Selections-Invert,
hit delete. Selections-None. Delete the original flower layer.

Make bottom layer active - Select All, new raster layer - copy & paste another paper from scrap kit into
Selection. Open up the mask 196, minimize. New Mask Layer-From Image with these settings



Merge Group. Image-Resize 85% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.

Make Circle One layer active-Sect All-Float-Defloat - copy & paste another paper from scrap kit as a new layer,
Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Delete original Circle One layer. Give the new paper layer
this drop shadow



Make Circle Two layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat - copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer.
Selections-Invert, hit delete.Delete original Circle Two layer - keep selected. Copy & paste you tube as a new
layer - ithat layer should still be inverted, hit delete. Selections-None. Give your tube layer the same drop
shadow as before. I resize my tube 150% Bicubic-all layers unchecked, to fit inside the circle nicely. That
choice is yours to do.

Copy & paste one of the Sloppy Bows from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 50% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Move the Sloppy Bow down to almost the bottom of the template - go to Adjust-Sharpen. Give drop shadow.

Copy & paste one of the Flower&Bow from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 45% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Adjust-Sharpen More. Duplicate - go to Image-Mirror. Place the Flower&Bow each end of the Sloppy Bow. Give each
Flower&Bow drop shadow.

Copy & paste one of the LilyBundles from scrap kit as anew layer. Adjust-Sharpen - give drop shadow.
Move the LilyBundle below the SloppyBow layer, over to the right of the template.

Copy & paste your tube once more as a new layer. Move tube layer below the SloppyBow layer. Erase any of the tube
protruding below the SloppyBow.
You can add any other element you like. Once finished, cross out the eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible
all other layers. Open the eyes up.

Copy & paste one of the Wordarts from the scrap kit as a new layer. You may need to resiz if you wish. Go to
Selections-Select All-Float-Defloat, new raster layer, colourize what ever colour you like. Once you have done
that, Selections-None. Delete original Wordart layer.

You can give your Wordart a nice bevel & give a supple drop shadow.
Add your name & correct copyright. Cross out eyes on bottom layer once more - Merge Visible all other layers.
Open eyes up - Crop Tool, crop excess white background. I resized mine after cropping, 85% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED.
Click on the blue bar top of your image - COPY & paste as a new Image on your workspace. You image should now
have a transparent backgroun. Save as a *Png
