Shrinking Violet Tutorial

You will need:

Tube - I used one of Jennifer Janesko's lovely ladies.
You nee to be a registered member of CILM to purchase her
tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit called'Dreamer' from BlueDreamsDesigns

Font I used is called 'BernhardFasD' - which came with my PSPX1

**No outside Filters used with this tutorial**

Open up my SV-Template. Click Shift D to copy it. Delete original
template.
Make the bottom layer (white) active - go to Image-Canvas Size with
these settings


Make Circle-2 layer active - Select All-Float-Defloat. Copy & paste a
Paper from
the scrap kit as a new layer - Selections-Invert, hit delete.
Do the same with Circle-1, but chose a different Paper.
Delete original layers. Make top layer active - Merge Down. Magic Wand,
click inside
the Circle Frames like this



Selections-Modify-Expand 3. Copy & paste another Paper from the
scrap kit as a new layer,
Selections-Invert, hit delete. Move that Paper layer below merged Frame.
Make Merged Frame layer active - keep selected & inverted, copy
& paste you tube as a new layer
When you have your tube in place, hit delete. Selections-None.

Make Merge Frame layer active - give this drop shadow



Give your tube layer the same drop shadow
Copy & paste Flower 6 from scrap kit as a new layer. Place left side
of the Merged Frame. Duplicate,
Image-Mirror, placing the duplicated flower a bit lower on the Merged
Frame on the right. Duplicate
once more, moving the flower to the bottom of the Merged Frame.



Give each flower layer drop shadow
Copy & paste one of the Fastener elements from the scrap kit as a
new layer. Move the Fastener below
all the Flower layers. Go to Image-Free Rotate-Rotate right 25.



Move the Fastener in place so it looks as though it is dangling from 1st
flower. Paste the Fastener once
more, moving it to the right side under thge flower. No need to rotate
this one. Give each Fastener layer
drop shadow

Copy & paste Flower 5 from the scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 50%
Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move Flower 5
down to bottom of the Merged Frame, placing next to Flower 6 -
duplicate-Image-Mirror, moving duplicateFlower 5
in beside Flower 6. Give each Flower 5 layers drop shadow. I move Flower
5 layers below the Flower 6 layers.
That choice is yours.
Copy & paste one of the Butterfly elements from scrap kit as a new
layer. Resize 65% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Move the Butterfly where it will look nice. Adjust-Sharpen More. No need
for drop shadow.

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) Merge Visible all other layers.
Open the eyes up. Add your name & correct
copyright. Merge these down. Duplicate Merged Layer & on original
Merged layer - Adjust-Blur-Gaussian Blur 25.
Effects-Texture Effects-Fine Leather with these settings.



Resize Blurred layer 95% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Make top layer
active - Merge Down. Crop Tool, crop excess
white background. Click on the Blue Line-Copy & paste as a New Image
on your workspace. Your new image should now have
a transparent background. Resize if needed. I resized mine 87%
Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Save as a *Png
