Spring Morning Tutorial

You will need:

Tube - I used a lovely tube from Mia Hopper
You need to be a registered member of MyTagArt to purchase her tubes

Scrap kit called 'Spring Morning' from Rebecca's Scrapping Silliness

Cardboard Frames from WeeScotLass Creations

You need to scroll down the page a little to find the Cardboard
Frames download.

This scrap kit is Full Sized. We will be resizing each element quite a lot
throughout this tutorial.


New white canvas 750x700



Copy & paste the Frames as a new layer. Resize 85% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Magic Wand, click inside all 3 frames - Selections-Modify-Expand 10.
Copy & paste a paper from the scrap kit as a new layer - resize paper 20% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked - Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Move the paper
layer below the frames layer. Give the frames this drop shadow



Copy & paste Doodle 1 from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize Doodle 15% Bicubic-all layers
unchecked. Move Doodle below the paper layer & across to right a little. Duplicate - IMAGE-MIRROR-
FLIP. You should have something like this



Make top layer active. Copy & paste Flower 4 from scrap kit as a new layer - resize flower 15%
Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move across to left side of the frames - ADJUST-SHARPEN. Duplicate
Flower - IMAGE-MIRROR. Give each flower the drop shadow as before.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer. Give drop shadow. Copy & paste one of the Butterflies from
the scrap kit as a new layer - resize 20% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Move the Butterfly to the right
of your tube. ADJUST-SHARPEN. Give drop shadow, IMAGE-FREE ROTATE-ROTATE 45 left. Duplicate the Butterfly,
IMAGE-MIRROR.
Add your name & correct copyright. Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) MERGE VISIBLE all other layers.
Open eyes up - Crop Tool - crop excess white background. Resize 75% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Click on
blue bar at top of your image - COPY & PASTE as a NEW IMAGE on your workspace. Your image should now have
a transparent background. Save as a *Png.
