Rustic Fae Tutorial

**As with a lot of my tutorials, I use free scrap kits from a lot of different scrap kit makers.
I do include the link to the site/page those scrap kits can be obtained from, but sometimes
those scrap kits become no longer available or the site closes. When this happens, I do endeavor
to add a new link, but if I don't, please use another scrap kit of your choice that is almost
the same as the one that I used in my tutorials. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.**

You will need:

Tube - I am using one of Sue MIllers lovely fairies
You need to be a registered member of MyTagArt to purchase
Sue's tubes HERE - ©suemIllerart.com
but any fairy tube will do.
Scrap kit called 'Rustiko' from Jaelop Designs
HERE
This scrap kit is full size so there will be a fair bit of resizing.
I work in Bicubic when I resize.
Font I used is called 'Monika Italic'
HERE
Mask 167 from WeeScottLass Creations
HERE

New white canvas 750x750

We will resize at the end.
Copy & paste Element 30 from scrap kit as a new layer. Now this will be very large
so we need to resize it 30% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
ADJUST-SHARPEN. Move a little up towards top of canvas.
Freehand Selection Tool-POint to Point - Add(shift) - Feather 0 - draw around the inner frame like this

Copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer (the paper is very large, so we need
to resize it) Resize 10% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. If you used the same paper as I did
paper 7, you will need to move it down slightly to get most of the tree inside the frame.
Selections-Invert, hit delete. Move the paper layer below the window frame layer.

Copy & paste Element 25 from scrap kit - resize 20% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. ADJUST-SHARPEN.
Move across to left side of window frames - duplicate - IMAGE-MIRROR - ADJUST-SHARPEN.
Have top layer Ivy active - MERGE DOWN.

Copy & paste Element 20 from scrap kit as a new layer - resize 20% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.

ADJUST-SHARPEN MORE. Move across to the right - duplicate IMAGE-MIRROR. Top layer active MERGE DOWN.
Give the yellow flowers this drop shadow

Copy & paste Element 44 from scrap kit as a new layer - resize 20% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. ADJUST-
SHARPEN MORE. Move across to left of Window Panes - duplicate - IMAGE-MIRROR. Top layer active - MERGE DOWN
This is what your tag should look like so far

Copy & paste Element 42 from scrap kit as a new layer - resize 20% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
ADJUST-SHARPEN. Move across to the left in front of Vase of Sunflowers - duplicate- IMAGE-MIRROR. Top layer
active - MERGE DOWN.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer - give drop shadow as before. Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white)
MERGE VISIBLE all other layers. Opn eyes up on bottom layer. Make your Merged image active - resize 85% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked.
Now, make you bottom white layer active - copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer.
I used paper 4, resized 25% Bicubic-all layers unchecked. Open up & minimise Mask 167. New Mask Layer-From Image
with these settings

Merge Group - I recoloured the mask layer with a light colour from my tube. That choice is yours to do.
Effects-Texture Effects-Blinds with these settings

Make top layer active. Add your name & correct copyright. Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) MERGE VISIBLE
all other layers. Click COPY on top blue bar & paste as a New Image on your workspace. Your tag should now have a
