Surrender Tutorial




You will need:

A tube - I used one of Elias Chatzoudis tubes.
You will need to be a member of PSP Tubes Emporium

to purchase his tubes, but any tube will do.
Scrap kit called "Surrender" from FantasyMoments Scraps

New white canvas 800x800



We will resize at the end.

Go to Selections-Select All - new raster layer, copy one of the papers
from the scrap ki (I used paper #15), Paste Into Selection. Select-None.
Open up & minimize the mask. New Mask Layer - From Image with these settings



Merge Group

Preset Shape Tool-Rectangle - width 20-Anti-alia ticked-Create as Vector, colour
doesn't matter, draw out rectangle that is just a bit smaller than your mask layer



When you are happy with your rectangle, convert to raster layer.Select All-Float-Defloat,
Copy & paste your paper as a new layer, Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Merge Down.
Magic Wand again, click inside your rectangle so you have marching ants all round inside it,
Selections-Modify-Expand 3. New raster layer. Choose a nice light colour from your tube as your foreground
colour, background null, Flood Fill with colour. Selections-None. Move this layer below your mask layer
Make our rectangle frame layer active, give this drop shadow



Copy & paste one of the bottom Ribbon elements from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize about 70% Bicubic-
all layers unchecked. You may need to use your Pick Tool to reduce the ribbon so it fits the rectangle frame.
Adjust-Sharpen. Move the ribbon down to bottom of frame. Give drop shadow as before.

Copy & paste one of the Flower Sprig elements from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 85% Bicubic-all layers
unchecked. Move the flowers below the ribbon layer & place them where they will look nice. Adjust-Sharpen.
Give drop shadow.

Copy & paste one of the Butterfly elements from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 50% Bicubic-all layers unchecked.
Adjust-Sharpen, give drop shadow. Image-Free Rotate-Rotate 30 right. Move the butterfly across to the flower sprig.

Open up my WordArt, copy & paste as a new layer (you can colourize it to suit your tube). Place it where it will
look nice. Give drop shadow.

Copy & paste your tube as a new layer, placing it where it will look nice. Give drop shadow.
Add your name & correct copyright.
Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white) MERGE VISIBLE all other layers.
Copy & paste as a New Image on your work space. Your merged image should now have a transparent background. Resize-
about 76% Bicubic-all layers CHECKED. Save as a *Png
