Blue Ocean Tutorial

Click on image to see larger version

I created this tutorial in PSPX1 but it can be done
with any version of PSP.
The scrap kit has some very large elements in it
so there will be a fair bit of resizing to do.
No outside Plugin Filters used

You will need:
A mermaid tube - I used one of Karen Middleton's lovely tubes
You will need to be a registered member of CreativeDesignsOutlet (CDO)
to purchase her tubes, but any mermaid tube will do
Scrap kit is called "Blue Ocean" from Eileens Designs
Mask No: #120 from WeeScotsLass Creations
Font - 'Babylonica Rob'

New white canvas 850x700

Select All - new raster layer, copy & paste into selection, a paper
from the scrap kit - I used paper No 4. Selections-None
Open up & minimse Mask 120
New Mask Layer-From Image with these settings

Merge Group - move over to the left a little-duplicate-
Image-Mirror.
Copy & paste Element 13 from scrap kit as a new layer.
Resize 20% Bicubic-all layers Unchecked. Move the netting over to the
left just a little. You can recolour it to suit your tube.

Copy & paste Element 25 from scrap kit as a new layer. Resize 35%
Bicubic-all layers Unchecked.Recolour if you like

Magic Wand - click inside the fram - Selections-Modify-Expand 12.
Copy & paste a paper from scrap kit as a new layer (I used paper No 7)
Selections-Invert, hit delete. Selections-None. Move the paper layer below the
frame layer. Add this drop shadow to the frame
Copy & paste any other Elements you wish but remember to resize them.

When you have done that, make the Frame layer active - copy & paste your
tube as a new layer - placing the tube where it will look nice. Add drop shadow
as before

Cross out eyes on bottom layer (white), Merge VISIBLE all other layers. Uncross
the eyes on bottom layer.
Add your name & correct copyright. Crop Tool - crop excess white background,
being careful not to crop any of the tag.
Cross out the eyes on the bottom layer once more, Click Copy Merged & paste as
a New Image on your workspace. Resize to your liking - I resized mine 75% Bicubic
all layers CHECKED - save as a *Png.
